National Alliance on Mental Illness Walk 2019

It is important to make sure Mental Illness is addressed and without a stigma because people with Mental Illness are people too, people that are stronger than the average person, people that want help and to begin recovery, people that want to help others and make this world a better place. One way we can do that is by supporting people and organization’s that support that mission. The #NAMI walk that Team Hayes participated in yesterday raised over $105,000 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness organization whose Mental Illness resources are offered and available to those in need. When I was going through my darkest Mental Illness crisis, I did not know what NAMI was or that it was even a place I could go to seek treatment. 2 years after my darkest Mental Illness crisis, I am now on a stable at the moment path and am soaring like an eagle, helping those out there that know they need help and those that might not know they need help. Thank you to NAMI and all Mental Health resources across the world that help others. Shouldn’t we all strive to find a way to help others? However, if our own Mental Health gas tank is empty, we cannot do so effectively. If you know someone that may need to see someone, please make the effort to do so as soon as possible. I almost did not make it through my darkest Mental Illness crisis, let’s not wait to help others because there may be no more tomorrow if not helped..
