The Baby Shark in You

Without a doubt we all have some form of inner drive to maximize our time left on earth, but sadly not all of us take the steps to execute against that inner drive and make it a reality, instead of a pipe dream.  Take professional athletes for instance, they didn’t just wake up one day and become a pro.  Instead, it took them years upon years and hours and hours practicing and honing in on the skills that would inevitably put them ahead of 99%+ of the others who were working towards the same outcome of turning pro.  The hours upon hours of practice in this case is the equivalent of executing against that baby shark inside.  An adult shark isn’t born as an adult shark, they are born as a baby shark.  It is only after days and years of eating, growing and learning that the baby shark turns into an adult shark, one of the most awesome and powerful creatures on earth, under the seas.

The funny part is just because we have matured in one area, such as driving a car or earned a letter grade of an A in Calculus, there however, are other areas like starting our own business, which we could still be in the baby shark or infant stage of.  And that is what makes life interesting and rewarding, seeing an inner drive start inside our mind, turn into something real.  What is it that you are in the baby shark phase of?  What is it that you want to grow into something real and powerful and rewarding?  Is it becoming an entrepreneur and starting your own business, or is it finding a way to serve the less fortunate in a different way than is currently being offered in the marketplace?  Do you have a lot of ideas that never seem to amount to much?  Or have you just finished writing a new blog for your website that will be helpful to others, especially since it will be featured on Apple News?

I challenge you to not only find the baby shark inside of you, but to take the steps to transition that baby shark into an adult shark.  Maybe you think it will cost too much to start or that you don’t know the right people or where to start.  I am here to tell you that we are all human, we all have compassion and we all want to help one another and ultimately make this world a better place than we found it.  I wish you nothing but my very best on whichever paths you decide to journey down and remember that for others to believe in you, you have to first believe in yourself.  Believe, believe and believe some more.  You can do this!
